Cloistering Staff to keep on track is a weak alternative to the Need + Anticipation factors of Strong Attractors. Teams that participate in developing Strong Attractors will self-prioritize.
Tasking Engineers to do what you ‘want’ is demotivating to the staff.  Now days we have free-range chickens; but, many companies still tell rather than present Need + Opportunity.
Implementation Management says: suck it up, do the task you’re being paid to do, that’s sufficient motivation!  This ignores Need + Belief and is a personal violation to creative staff!
Creative Teams occasionally hide their strong attractors from internal stake holders so that they don’t get shutdown.  Sure, we might avoid the loss of having our ideas shutdown; however, we’ll also avoid the big wins that come from having shared conception motivations (Need + Belief + Opportunity + Anticipation) aligned and refined across all the actors.
