Truth #2 – Theory of Relevance

The Theory of Relevance as applied to Software Management

Truth #2 – Theory of Relevance . The Theory of Relevance as applied to software management states that your ability to effectively transform is a function of:. Understanding of Current Context (Market Opportunity, Solution, Tech Stack, etc.)
Plus strength of Connection to Change (change engines)
Multiplied by your Aptitude for a Given Domain. Or in simplified terms:
Relevance = (Context + Connection to Change) * Aptitude
Where Context is a model in the mind of the expert acquired via Aptitude by exposure to the domain in question
Where Connection to Change includes: the visibility and understanding of change to the context; and, trust of the parties involved with creating and communicating the change
